What's Happening?
The American Film Institute (AFI), in collaboration with Panavision, has announced the participants for its 2026 Cinematography Intensive Workshop. The event, scheduled from March 18-22 at the AFI Campus in Los Angeles, aims to provide opportunities for artists
historically excluded from cinematography careers. The workshop will feature lectures, hands-on exercises, and screenings, led by industry leaders and AFI Conservatory faculty. Participants include Alice Boucherie, Alexandria Jones, Karson Kane, Amanda Kowalski, Julie Nhem, Emma Penrose, Shauna Presto, Melina Anastasia Psarros, Cat Rider, Tania Romero, Kimani Schumann, and Carman Spoto. The program is designed to explore the art and craft of cinematography, encouraging a new generation of storytellers.
