The Renault 4 E-Tech and Renault 5 E-Tech have both achieved the maximum five-star Green NCAP sustainability ratings in the latest round of assessments. These models were evaluated alongside four other vehicles, with the Renault 5 scoring 9.1 out of 10
for Clean Air and 9.3 for Energy Efficiency. The Renault 4 achieved a 9.4 Clean Air Index, partly due to its lower tire abrasion properties. Both models also received top scores in the Greenhouse Gas assessment, which considers production, battery manufacturing, lifetime energy use, and end-of-life recycling. Additionally, these vehicles feature bidirectional charging capabilities. Other models tested included the Dacia Bigster and Cadillac Optiq, which received three-and-a-half stars, and the Citroën C3 110 mild hybrid, which also achieved three-and-a-half stars.
