The Houston Dash has announced the signing of Emina Ekic, the USL Super League Player of the Year, through the 2027 NWSL season. The 26-year-old midfielder joins the Dash from Lexington SC, with a mutual option for 2028 included in her contract. Ekic was
recognized as the inaugural Player of the Year in the USL Super League for the 2024-25 season, during which she scored 10 goals and provided six assists while playing for the Spokane Zephyr. Ekic began her professional career with Racing Louisville, making 38 appearances from 2021 to 2023 after being selected as the No. 5 overall pick in the 2021 NWSL Draft.
