Boston Metal has successfully raised $75 million to further develop its Molten Oxide Electrolysis (MOE) platform, which is designed to enhance the production of critical metals both in the United States and globally. This latest funding round increases
the company's total capital raised to over $500 million. The investment will be used to expand commercial-scale deployments of metals such as niobium, tantalum, vanadium, and nickel. The MOE platform is noted for its ability to extract resources from low-grade materials, thereby strengthening supply chains for materials essential to electrification, advanced manufacturing, AI, and defense. Tata Steel Ltd participated in this funding round, indicating strong industrial and investor interest in innovative approaches to critical metals production.
