What's Happening?
Edison High School junior Allison McNichols achieved a notable second-place finish at the CIF Southern Section Division 1 girls’ diving finals held at the Marguerite Aquatic Complex in Mission Viejo. McNichols completed
her performance with an 11-dive score of 535.05, trailing only behind Gianna Kenrick of Mater Dei, who scored 576.20. Additionally, Newport Harbor High School's senior divers Corinna Ruffini, Nikka Asgarian, and Violet Carone also excelled, securing third, fourth, and eighth places respectively. These divers are committed to prestigious universities, with Ruffini heading to the University of Houston, Asgarian to Columbia University, and Carone to Boston College. The competition also saw CdM sophomore Eva Cox finishing ninth in Division 1, while Laguna Beach freshman Isabelle Hornstein placed third in the CIF Division 2 competition.

This progression not only provides additional competitive experience but also the chance to gain exposure at a higher level, which could be pivotal for those looking to pursue diving at collegiate or professional levels.
