Ericsson and Vietnamese operator Viettel have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development of autonomous network technology. Announced at the Mobile World Congress 2026, the partnership will focus on joint R&D activities,
lab trials, and validations to explore AI-driven closed-loop automation and performance optimization. The collaboration aims to develop practical use cases that improve operational efficiency and customer experience, including network operations automation and RAN optimization. Viettel will also join Ericsson's Intelligent Automation Platform ecosystem, gaining access to a wide range of resources and tools for rApp development.
