What's Happening?
HIVE Digital Technologies has acquired land in Ontario, Canada, to develop a large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure facility, known as an AI gigafactory. This facility is set to become
one of Canada's largest, supporting over 100,000 graphics processing units (GPUs) at full capacity. The acquisition includes 21 acres of land with a 320-megawatt power allocation, strategically located in the Toronto-Waterloo innovation corridor. This development is part of HIVE Digital's strategy to expand its AI and digital asset mining capabilities, leveraging green energy sources.
