What's Happening?
Pivotal Metals has announced the discovery of a new copper-gold target at the Lorraine Project in Québec, Canada. The Kelly Lake East target was identified through a recent field program, revealing three distinct zones of mineralisation over strike lengths of 150-200 meters. The mineralised zones contain high sulphide content, with grades reaching up to 2% copper and 1.9 grams per tonne gold. The discovery highlights the prospectivity of the area, with plans for further exploration including outcrop and soil sampling, surface geophysics, and drill testing.
Why It's Important?
The discovery at the Lorraine Project is significant for Pivotal Metals as it enhances the potential for resource development in the region. The presence of high-grade copper and gold mineralisation
could lead to increased investment and exploration activities, boosting the local economy and creating job opportunities. The findings also underscore the importance of continued exploration in the Belleterre-Angliers Greenstone Belt, which is part of the Archean Superior Province of the Canadian Shield. The discovery may attract interest from other mining companies and investors looking to capitalize on the region's mineral wealth.
What's Next?
Pivotal Metals plans to conduct further exploration activities at the Kelly Lake East target, including detailed sampling and geophysical surveys to refine drill targets. The company aims to expand its exploration program across the wider Belleterre Projects, focusing on target prioritisation and drill testing. Collaboration with neighboring companies, such as Vior, may also be pursued to maximize resource development in the area. The ongoing exploration efforts are expected to provide valuable insights into the region's mineral potential and guide future investment decisions.
