Toyota has introduced a new, track-focused version of its popular GR Yaris, named the GR Yaris Morizo RR, at the Tokyo Auto Salon. This limited edition model is designed with motorsport enthusiasts in mind, featuring enhancements derived from endurance racing experiences, such as those from the Nürburgring 24 Hours. The Morizo RR is equipped with a Direct Automatic transmission, similar to the GR Corolla available in the U.S., but with modifications for quicker shifts and better control. Aesthetically, the car includes a carbon-fiber rear wing and front spoiler to increase downforce and reduce weight, along with yellow brake calipers and a suede-finished
racing steering wheel. Toyota plans to produce only 200 units of the GR Yaris Morizo RR, which will be distributed between Japan and Europe through a lottery system. Pricing details have not yet been disclosed.
