South Korean conglomerate SK Group has signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Vietnamese government to advance the country's AI industry ecosystem. The agreements involve SK Innovation and SK Telecom collaborating with the provincial
government of Nghe An to explore the development of an AI data center and related infrastructure projects. SK Innovation will focus on energy solutions, including electricity supply to the data center, while SK Telecom will handle the development and operation of the AI data center. Additionally, SK Group has partnered with Vietnam's National Innovation Center to support AI ecosystem development through technology collaboration and investment promotion. These initiatives are part of SK Group's strategy to expand its 'Korean-style AI full-stack' model internationally, starting with Vietnam.
