What's Happening?
Netflix will stream a special comedy event titled 'Kill Tony: WrestleMania,' featuring host Tony Hinchcliffe and WWE superstars. The event will take place live in Las Vegas at the Dolby Live at Park MGM on April 18, following the first night of WrestleMania 42.
The special will be available for streaming on Netflix starting April 20, alongside a new episode of WWE's 'Monday Night Raw.' This marks the second consecutive year Hinchcliffe has been involved with WrestleMania, following last year's 'The Roast of WrestleMania.'
Why It's Important?
The collaboration between Netflix and WWE for the 'Kill Tony' special highlights the growing intersection of entertainment and sports. By streaming the event, Netflix expands its content offerings and taps into WWE's vast fanbase, potentially attracting new subscribers. For WWE, this partnership enhances its brand visibility and provides an additional platform to engage with fans. The event also underscores the increasing trend of integrating comedy and sports entertainment, appealing to a broader audience.
