What's Happening?
AAT Kings and Helloworld Travel have completed a five-day national trade road trip aimed at strengthening relationships with travel advisors and increasing awareness of guided touring options across Australia and New Zealand. The initiative involved traveling
over 1,000 kilometers through regional Queensland and New South Wales, visiting 20 Helloworld Travel stores and partner locations. The centerpiece of the road trip was AAT Kings' newly configured small group touring coach, which served as a mobile showcase for the brand's expanding portfolio of tours. The team engaged with more than 50 travel advisors through immersive 'Open Coach' experiences, providing firsthand insights into the onboard experience, product updates, and destination highlights. Consumer-facing 'Taste of Touring' events were also held to inspire travelers seeking advice for future guided holiday experiences.
Why It's Important?
This road trip underscores the importance of personal connections and hands-on product immersion in the travel industry. By directly engaging with travel advisors and consumers, AAT Kings and Helloworld Travel aim to build confidence in guided touring products and foster stronger relationships within the travel trade. The initiative highlights the evolving nature of guided holidays and the need for travel advisors to have expert guidance when planning trips. Strengthening these relationships is crucial for the travel industry, as it helps advisors better understand and sell products, ultimately benefiting travelers seeking well-informed holiday experiences.
What's Next?
Following the road trip, AAT Kings and Helloworld Travel are likely to continue their efforts to support travel advisors and promote guided touring options. The success of this initiative may lead to similar events in the future, further enhancing the visibility of AAT Kings' touring portfolio.
