The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) has recognized 11 women as pivotal figures in the advancement of robotics. This initiative aims to increase visibility and acknowledgment for women in the STEM fields, where they are significantly underrepresented,
comprising only 16% of engineers despite making up over 40% of the global workforce. The honorees include leaders from various countries and companies, such as Younseal Eum from AeiROBOT in South Korea, Stefania Ferrero from Comau in Italy, and Mikell Taylor from General Motors in the U.S. These women are involved in developing unbiased AI technology and next-generation robotics systems, which are expanding automation into new sectors like healthcare and consumer markets.
