What's Happening?
WISeKey International Holding Ltd, in collaboration with The Hashgraph Group and Hedera, has launched the QAIT Q-Day Security Assessment Platform within the SEALCOIN Quantum Marketplace. This platform is designed to help enterprises, governments, and critical
infrastructure operators evaluate and mitigate cybersecurity risks associated with quantum computing. As quantum computers advance, they pose a threat to traditional public-key cryptography systems, potentially affecting financial systems, government communications, and more. The QAIT platform combines AI, blockchain transparency, and post-quantum security expertise to provide comprehensive evaluations of organizations' readiness for the quantum era.
Why It's Important?
The launch of the QAIT Q-Day Security Assessment Platform is significant as it addresses the growing threat of quantum computing to existing digital security infrastructures. As quantum computers become capable of breaking traditional cryptographic systems, the need for quantum-resistant technologies becomes critical. This platform provides organizations with the tools to assess their exposure to quantum-related cybersecurity risks and develop strategies to transition to post-quantum cryptography. The initiative aligns with global efforts to accelerate the adoption of quantum-resistant technologies, supporting sectors such as finance, healthcare, and smart cities.
What's Next?
The first phase of the QAIT platform is scheduled to launch in 2026, offering services globally to enterprises and public sector institutions. As the platform becomes operational, it is expected to support organizations in developing quantum readiness strategies and accessing post-quantum security services. The collaboration between WISeKey, The Hashgraph Group, and Hedera aims to establish a new benchmark for quantum readiness assessment and digital resilience in the age of quantum computing.
