What's Happening?
The Fragrance Foundation UK is set to open its first-ever Central London Fragrance Hub during National Fragrance Week from March 18 to 19. This hub will serve as a gathering point for brands, retailers, and creators within the perfume industry to explore
emerging trends such as AI-driven discovery, digital influence, and sustainability. The event will also feature the unveiling of the 2026 Next Gen Cohort, an accelerator program developed in partnership with Growth Studio to support new brands and talent. This initiative comes at a time when the fragrance market is experiencing growth, particularly among Gen Z consumers in the UK, with sales among under-24s increasing by 17% year-on-year.
Why It's Important?
The launch of the Fragrance Foundation's hub highlights the growing cultural and economic significance of the fragrance industry. By focusing on innovation and sustainability, the hub aims to foster collaboration and development within the sector. The involvement of Gen Z, the fastest-growing demographic in beauty, underscores the potential for long-term market expansion. This initiative not only supports emerging talent but also positions the fragrance industry as a leader in adopting new technologies and sustainable practices, which could influence broader trends in the beauty market.
