Grammy-nominated vocalist Debo Ray has announced the release of her new 4-song EP titled 'Echoes and Embers,' set to be available on May 22, 2026. The EP explores Ray's personal journey through mental
health challenges, offering a narrative arc that reflects her struggles and determination to overcome them. Known for her versatility across genres such as jazz, metal, hip hop, opera, rock, and soul, Ray's latest work continues to showcase her unique vocal and songwriting talents. The EP includes tracks like 'Going Down,' which addresses her experiences with depression, and 'Real Good Girl,' which reflects on her upbringing. The final track, 'I'm Fire Now,' will be released alongside the EP, featuring a strong dance/funk groove. The EP was produced by Grammy-winning engineer Prince Charles Alexander and recorded at Dimension Sound in Jamaica Plain, MA.
