What's Happening?
Mithril Silver and Gold Limited has announced significant drilling results from its Copalquin property in Durango State, Mexico. The company completed the final six holes in the western expansion area of El Refugio and two holes in the La Soledad southeast
expansion area. Notably, drill hole RE26-013 intercepted 7.25 meters grading 4.01 g/t gold and 225.1 g/t silver. The drilling campaign aims to update the Mineral Resource Estimate by late June 2026. The results indicate a large, high-energy mineralized system, with the mineralization at El Refugio remaining open to depth. Mithril plans to continue its aggressive exploration program, with 11,238 meters of drilling completed out of a planned 25,000 meters for the year.
Why It's Important?
The drilling results are crucial for Mithril as they enhance the company's understanding of the mineralization at Copalquin, potentially increasing the resource base and improving the confidence in the geological model. This could lead to a significant upgrade in the Mineral Resource Estimate, attracting more investment and interest in the project. The findings also underscore the potential for further exploration and development in the region, which could have broader economic implications for the mining industry in Mexico. Successful resource expansion could position Mithril as a key player in the silver and gold mining sector.
What's Next?
Mithril plans to update the Mineral Resource Estimate for the Copalquin property by late June 2026, focusing on upgrading the confidence in the geological and grade distribution. The company will also expand ground-based mapping activities and target development in unexplored areas. Further drilling is anticipated to follow up on previous successes, particularly in the Target 5 area. These efforts aim to solidify Mithril's position in the mining sector and potentially lead to increased production capabilities.
