Morehouse College's basketball team secured the No. 1 seed in the SIAC East division by defeating Spring Hill 82-72 at Forbes Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Under the leadership of first-year head coach Larry Dixon, the Maroon Tigers concluded the season
with an impressive 19-9 overall record and a 19-5 record in the SIAC. Josiah Lawson led the team with 24 points, while Brandon Peters, Jared White, Sincere Moore, and JerMontae Hill also scored in double figures. The team demonstrated strong performance with 32 points from the bench and high shooting percentages, including 42.9% from the floor and 94.1% from the free-throw line. Spring Hill's Rocco Lamuno was the top scorer of the game with 28 points, but his efforts were not enough to prevent the Badgers from ending their season with a 4-24 overall record.
