What's Happening?
Hagerstown Community College (HCC) is hosting a Student Arts Showcase at the Kepler Center from April 23 to May 1. The exhibition will feature works by students enrolled in visual arts studio courses, including drawing, painting, photography, digital
art, ceramics, and visual art capstone projects. An opening reception on April 23 will include musical performances by HCC's Contemporary Music and Choral Ensembles, as well as readings by creative writing students. The event is free and open to the public, providing an opportunity for the community to engage with student creativity.
Why It's Important?
The Student Arts Showcase at HCC highlights the importance of supporting emerging artists and fostering creativity within educational institutions. By providing a platform for students to display their work, the exhibition encourages artistic development and community engagement. It also offers students valuable exposure and experience, helping them build confidence and prepare for future opportunities in the arts. The event strengthens the connection between HCC and the local community, promoting cultural appreciation and collaboration.
