Insta360 has introduced the Luna Ultra, a new gimbal camera designed to compete with DJI's Osmo Pocket series. Developed in collaboration with Leica, the Luna Ultra features a Summicron lens and a one-inch 8K sensor, enabling high-resolution video and image
capture. The camera also includes a secondary telephoto lens system with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and F2 aperture, allowing for bokeh effects and up to 12 times zoom. The Luna Ultra supports Dolby Vision video recording at 8K resolution and 30fps, and can capture 37-megapixel stills and 200-megapixel panoramic images. It includes a detachable two-inch OLED touchscreen for remote control up to 66 feet away, AI tracking for subject framing, and a stabilization system for smooth footage. The device offers up to four hours of battery life and 47GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card. Available in Cosmic Black and Stellar White, the Luna Ultra is priced at $770, higher than the DJI Osmo Pocket 4, which is not officially available in the U.S.
