Alternative Marine Technologies (AMTECH) has successfully delivered the ATB MAM 141 and Tug Battery Park into service as new U.S.-Flag coastwise registered tonnage. The vessels underwent significant conversion and reconstruction at Gulf Marine Repair
in Tampa, Florida, to serve in chemical and petroleum transport. The barge was equipped with a stainless steel cargo system and coated with Advanced Polymer Coatings Marine Line 784, marking the first use of this polymer in the United States. The vessels are set to transport jet fuel, with their first cargo loading scheduled in Houston.
