What's Happening?
Viking has introduced a reward program for its top-performing travel advisors as part of the Viking Platinum Club 2026. This initiative aims to celebrate advisors who excel in partnership, performance, and product expertise. The highest-achieving advisors will earn a place on an 11-day Alaska & the Inside Passage voyage, one of Viking's most sought-after journeys. This voyage will take participants through dramatic glaciers, wildlife-rich landscapes, and culturally rich frontier towns. The Platinum Club Voyage is scheduled to depart on June 9, 2027, for Australian winners and June 19, 2027, for New Zealand winners. To qualify, advisors must be among the top 10 in Australia or top 5 in New Zealand by securing the highest number of eligible new
bookings between January 1 and December 31, 2026.
Why It's Important?
This reward program underscores Viking's commitment to recognizing and incentivizing excellence among its travel advisors. By offering such prestigious rewards, Viking not only motivates its advisors to achieve higher sales but also enhances their product knowledge and sales confidence. This initiative could lead to increased bookings and customer satisfaction, as advisors gain firsthand experience of Viking's offerings. Additionally, the program strengthens Viking's relationships with its advisors and agencies, fostering loyalty and long-term partnerships. The benefits extend beyond individual advisors, as agencies behind the winning advisors receive the Viking Platinum Agency designation and exclusive benefits, further promoting agency-level growth.
What's Next?
Advisors and agencies will likely intensify their efforts to qualify for the Viking Platinum Club 2026, aiming to secure a spot on the exclusive voyage. Viking's recognition of top performers may encourage other travel companies to implement similar reward programs, potentially raising industry standards. As the program progresses, Viking may evaluate its impact on sales and customer satisfaction, possibly leading to adjustments or expansions in future reward offerings. The travel industry will be watching closely to see how this initiative influences advisor performance and customer engagement.
