Hennessey Performance has set a new record in its annual Christmas Tree Run by strapping a 5½-foot Christmas tree to the roof of a 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and reaching a speed of 196 mph. The event
took place in Beeville, Texas, and marks the seventh year of this unique holiday tradition. The Corvette ZR1, equipped with a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine producing 1,064 horsepower, managed to surpass the previous record of 192 mph set in 2022. After the initial run, the team removed the tree and achieved a speed of 206 mph without the added drag.
