Unravel Biosciences, a clinical-stage therapeutics company, has announced the dosing of the first patients in its RVL-001 clinical trials for Rett syndrome and Pitt Hopkins syndrome. The trials are being conducted in Medellin, Colombia, and aim to evaluate
the efficacy of RVL-001, a proprietary formulation of vorinostat. This marks the first clinical evaluation of this novel therapeutic mechanism. The trials are designed as placebo-controlled, 'n-of-1' studies, targeting 15 Rett syndrome patients and 5 Pitt Hopkins syndrome patients.
