What's Happening?
Jaxon's Bricks for Bravery, a nonprofit organization, is hosting a LEGO-themed fundraiser at Newcomerstown West Elementary School on May 9. The event, called the Bricks for Bravery Build-Off, aims to raise funds to donate LEGO sets to hospitalized children.
The fundraiser will feature hands-on LEGO activities for families, with general admission set at $5 per family. It will also include two speed-building competitions: the Poly Bag Sprint for children and the Battle of the Bricks for teams. The event encourages advance registration to ensure sufficient LEGO sets for participants.
Why It's Important?
This fundraiser highlights the role of community engagement in supporting children's well-being, particularly those facing hospitalization. By providing LEGO sets, the event aims to bring joy and comfort to young patients, enhancing their hospital experience. The initiative also fosters community spirit and involvement, as families and local businesses participate in the event. Such activities can have a positive impact on local communities, promoting charitable giving and awareness of children's health issues.
