What's Happening?
Eight UK agritech companies have been selected to participate in a US expansion programme organized by Innovate UK and SVG Ventures. This initiative aims to help these companies scale their operations into the United States, providing them with access
to Silicon Valley networks, strategic partners, investors, and leading agrifood corporations. The programme is designed to enhance agricultural productivity, sustainability, and climate resilience, fostering collaboration between the UK and US agrifood innovation ecosystems. The selected companies are involved in various technological advancements, including livestock and poultry monitoring, precision crop inputs, greenhouse automation, and sustainable natural fibers. The programme will run for nine months, featuring virtual support, mentorship, and two in-market visits to California, where participants will engage with industry leaders and potential customers.

What's Next?
The programme includes two scheduled visits to the US, with the first taking place in June 2026 in Silicon Valley, where companies will participate in the Salinas Biological Summit. The second visit in October 2026 will culminate with the companies pitching at the THRIVE Global Impact Summit. These visits are crucial for the companies to gain insights into the US market, build relationships with key stakeholders, and refine their strategies for long-term expansion. Additionally, each company will receive support from an Innovate UK Business Growth Specialist to strengthen their international growth strategies and prepare for future opportunities.
