What's Happening?
In downtown Troy, Ohio, the Public Square is hosting eight upcycled pianos as part of the 2026 Painted Piano Project. This initiative, which began in 2021, features pianos painted by artists from across Miami County. The designs on these pianos reflect
the theme of America's 250th anniversary. The project is inspired by the 2008 UK art and music project 'Play Me I’m Yours' and has been a biennial event in Troy since its inception. The city is currently the only one in Ohio to host such a project, encouraging visitors to engage with the art by playing the pianos. The pianos will remain on display until September 1, offering a unique blend of visual and musical art to the community.
