The Guild of Music Supervisors has announced that it will honor Raphael Saddiq with the 2026 Icon Award and posthumously recognize Robin Kaye with the Legacy Award. Raphael Saddiq, a three-time Grammy winner with 23 nominations, is celebrated for his significant contributions to the music and film industry. He has been influential in shaping modern R&B since co-founding Tony! Toni! Toné! in the mid-1980s and has produced several acclaimed solo albums. Saddiq also shared an Album of the Year Grammy as a producer of Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter. Robin Kaye, who was a vice president of the Guild of Music Supervisors,
was a respected figure in the music supervision community. She worked extensively in artist management and music supervision, contributing to music-intensive shows like American Idol for over 15 years. Kaye and her husband were tragically killed in July during a home invasion.
