Mnet's 'GIRLS PLANET 2' is set to return, focusing on finding the next global K-pop girl group. This initiative is part of CJ ENM's Music Creative eco-System, which aims to expand K-pop's reach beyond Asia into North and Latin America. The show will premiere
in 2027 and is open to global applicants who identify as girls, she/her, or they/them, born before January 1, 2013. The application process begins on May 1, 2026, via the Mnet Plus platform. The program aims to discover diverse talent from regions previously unexplored by the franchise, with a focus on creating a group that appeals to the U.S. market.
