Universal Studios Orlando is set to undergo significant changes to its attractions and dining venues. According to a recent announcement, the resort will temporarily close the Horror Make-Up Show starting May 12, 2026, to revamp it with a blend of classic
and modern horror themes. Additionally, the Lost Continent area at Universal Islands of Adventure will experience phased closures, including the Mythos Restaurant, which will close in 2027. This summer, the Thunder Falls Terrace restaurant will also close to be transformed into a new full-service dining concept, expected to open in 2027. Furthermore, Fat One’s Hot Dogs & Italian Ice, founded by Joey Fatone of *NSYNC, will open at Universal CityWalk, replacing the Hot Dog Hall of Fame, which will close in July.
