On January 19, 2026, Meyer Turku shipyard commenced the production of the fifth vessel in the Icon Class series for Royal Caribbean Group. The event was marked by a traditional steel-cutting ceremony attended

The construction and outfitting process will span over two years, involving thousands of professionals. The ship, whose name is yet to be announced, is scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2028. Meyer Turku is also working on the third and fourth Icon Class vessels, with the third ship, Legend of the Seas, set to begin Mediterranean cruises in July 2026. Additionally, Meyer Turku has options for two more Icon Class ships and is building two multifunctional offshore patrol vessels for the Finnish Border Guard.
