What's Happening?
Aldoro Resources has announced assay results from two additional phase two drill holes at its Kameelburg rare earth elements-strontium-niobium project in Namibia. The results include a 318.3-meter intersection with 1.51% total rare earth oxides and significant
strontium and niobium content. These findings represent some of the thickest and most consistently graded intersections in the phase two program. The company has completed phase two drilling, totaling 7,190 meters across 15 holes, with assay results for 12 holes available. Aldoro plans to release an updated mineral resource estimate upon receiving the remaining assay results.
Why It's Important?
The discovery of significant rare earth elements at the Kameelburg project underscores the potential for Aldoro Resources to contribute to the global supply of critical minerals. Rare earth elements are essential for various high-tech applications, including electronics and renewable energy technologies. The project's success could enhance Aldoro's position in the mining industry and attract further investment. Additionally, the ability to directly leach ore without prior beneficiation could reduce processing costs and improve project economics, making Kameelburg a strategically important asset in the rare earths market.
