highlights that 56% of travelers have utilized AI for at least one trip in the past year, marking a sharp rise from 43% in late 2025 and more than double the share in 2024. Generative AI platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini have seen a substantial increase in usage for trip research, reaching 33%, which is closing in on general search engines at 35%. Despite the rise in AI usage, travelers continue to verify information, with only 8% relying solely on AI answers and 51% clicking through to source websites after receiving AI-generated results.
