What's Happening?
Newsweek, in collaboration with Plant-A Insights Group, has released its 2026 rankings of America's Greatest Workplaces for Perks & Benefits. This recognition highlights companies that excel in providing outstanding employee benefits. The evaluation process
involved a large-scale national survey conducted between April and October 2025, gathering responses from over 179,000 employees. The study also incorporated data from previous surveys conducted between 2022 and 2024, totaling 400,000 interviews. The rankings were based on over 37 million data points across more than 120 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with a focus on perks such as time off, equity, performance-based compensation, remote work, and retirement benefits. Companies implicated in unfair workplace practices or harassment were excluded from the list.
Why It's Important?
The recognition of companies for their employee benefits is significant as it underscores the growing importance of workplace perks in attracting and retaining talent. In a competitive job market, companies that offer superior benefits can differentiate themselves and improve employee satisfaction and productivity. This trend reflects a broader shift towards valuing employee well-being and work-life balance, which can lead to higher engagement and reduced turnover. The rankings serve as a benchmark for other companies aiming to enhance their benefits offerings and align with employee expectations.
