His career with IHG began in 1996 at the InterContinental New York Barclay hotel. Most recently, he was responsible for overseeing 120 managed hotels and 45 openings in the Greater China region. Fluent in Spanish, Knudsen is expected to leverage his global expertise and cultural connections to drive growth and operational excellence in the MLAC region. IHG has a significant presence in this region, with 295 open hotels and a pipeline of 104 hotels in development.
