What's Happening?
FIFA+ has launched exclusively on DAZN, creating a global streaming hub that will broadcast 8,500 live matches per year. This partnership brings FIFA+'s free ad-supported channel into DAZN, offering live matches, World Cup archive replays, and original
programming across selected territories. The collaboration deepens the distribution relationship between FIFA and DAZN, following their previous partnership for the Club World Cup. Additionally, four FIFA youth and intercontinental tournaments are set to join the 2026 slate, further expanding the content available through this platform.
Why It's Important?
This partnership is significant as it enhances the accessibility of FIFA's extensive match content to a global audience, potentially increasing viewership and engagement. By integrating with DAZN, FIFA+ can leverage DAZN's established streaming infrastructure and audience base, which could lead to increased advertising revenue and sponsorship opportunities. For DAZN, this partnership strengthens its content offering, making it a more attractive option for sports fans and potentially increasing its subscriber base. The move also reflects a broader trend in sports media towards digital streaming platforms, which are increasingly becoming the primary means of content consumption.
