The American Biotech Innovation Alliance (ABIA) has been established to address the United States' diminishing dominance in biomedical research and development, particularly in response to China's advancements in the field. Founded by Patroski Lawson,
the ABIA aims to unite biotech leaders to develop a national strategy to revitalize American biotech innovation. The organization includes prominent members such as Moderna and CG Oncology, and has grown to about 50 companies since its inception in early May.
