What's Happening?
Pyramid Global Hospitality has launched the Dellshire Resort in Wisconsin Dells, marking the first new resort in the area in over two decades. The resort offers a unique blend of medieval fantasy-inspired storytelling and upscale Midwest retreat comforts.
It features 208 guestrooms and suites, ranging from cozy retreats to expansive multi-bedroom suites, all designed with medieval character. The resort includes Serpent's Bay, an indoor-outdoor aquatic complex, and five food and beverage outlets, including the tavern-style Blade & Barrel. A notable feature is Golspar, a 70-foot-long steel dragon sculpture by Kevin Stone, which greets guests upon arrival. The resort also offers Hero's Hall, a family entertainment hub with arcade games and a private party room, and dedicated meeting and event facilities.
Why It's Important?
The opening of Dellshire Resort is significant as it revitalizes Wisconsin Dells, a region known as 'The Waterpark Capital of the World.' By introducing a new type of immersive resort experience, it aims to attract a diverse range of visitors, including families, couples, and corporate groups. The resort's unique medieval theme and interactive programming could set a new standard for themed accommodations in the area, potentially boosting local tourism and economic activity. The addition of mixed reality adventures planned for summer 2026 further positions the resort as a cutting-edge destination, enhancing its appeal and competitiveness in the hospitality market.
What's Next?
Dellshire Resort plans to launch 'Legends of Dellshire,' a mixed reality experience, in summer 2026. This will allow guests to engage with themed locations across the property through augmented reality headsets, creating an interactive narrative experience. The resort's strategic location near downtown Wisconsin Dells, with its scenic riverwalks and high-energy attractions, is expected to complement its offerings and draw more visitors. The resort's success could influence future developments in the region, encouraging more themed and immersive hospitality projects.
