What's Happening?
OnePiece Labs, in collaboration with the Solana Foundation, has announced the launch of the Solana Bootcamp – APAC, a program aimed at supporting developers in the Asia-Pacific region. Scheduled to begin on February 23, 2026, the bootcamp is designed to help both Web3 developers new to Solana and Web2 engineers exploring Web3 to confidently enter and grow within the Solana ecosystem. The initiative reflects a shared commitment between OnePiece Labs and Solana to foster the APAC developer ecosystem. The program will include structured courses and sessions with industry experts, providing participants with insights into decision-making, product strategy, and ecosystem dynamics. Participants who complete the program will receive non-transferable,
on-chain builder credentials known as Soulbound Tokens (SBTs), which will offer ongoing ecosystem benefits.
Why It's Important?
The launch of the Solana Bootcamp – APAC is significant as it represents a strategic investment in the Asia-Pacific region, which is home to some of the most active Solana communities. By providing developers with the tools and knowledge to build on the Solana platform, the bootcamp aims to strengthen the region's tech ecosystem and foster innovation. This initiative could lead to the development of globally competitive products and enhance the region's role in the global tech landscape. For the U.S., this collaboration highlights the importance of international partnerships in advancing technological innovation and maintaining a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving Web3 space.
What's Next?
As the Solana Bootcamp – APAC prepares to launch, developers in the region can register to participate in the program. The first cohort will begin on February 23, 2026. The program is expected to create a durable support layer for APAC developers, offering more consistent access to resources and clearer pathways for building and shipping on Solana. Over time, this could lead to increased collaboration between APAC and U.S. tech communities, potentially resulting in new opportunities for cross-border innovation and investment.
