What's Happening?
Manchester Airport, in collaboration with Childflight and TUI, organized a special charity flight for over 120 local children to experience a 'Search for Santa' journey. The children, aged between five and 11, were taken on a TUI aircraft over North Wales, simulating a trip to the North Pole. Volunteers, including airport staff dressed as Santa's elves, entertained the children during the flight. Upon landing, Santa Claus appeared to distribute gifts, creating a memorable experience for the children.
Why It's Important?
This annual charity event highlights the community engagement efforts of Manchester Airport and its partners. By providing a magical experience for children facing challenging circumstances, the initiative brings joy and festive spirit to those who
might otherwise miss out on such experiences. The event also underscores the importance of corporate social responsibility, as it involves contributions from airport staff and the local community. Such initiatives can foster goodwill and strengthen community ties, showcasing the positive impact businesses can have beyond their primary operations.
