What's Happening?
Newmark has announced the addition of three senior professionals to its hotels team, aiming to bolster its hotel valuation, consultancy, and advisory capabilities. Ian Elliott and Agata Janda have joined as partners in the valuation and advisory team, while
Cherise Smith has been appointed as a partner specializing in hotel and resort consultancy. Elliott, previously with Avison Young, brings over 20 years of experience in hotel valuations across the UK and Europe. Janda, also from Avison Young, has a background in pan-European hotel valuations and institutional advisory. Smith, formerly with Colliers, has expertise in feasibility studies and market assessments. These appointments are part of Newmark's strategy to enhance its advisory services and support complex hotel mandates in the UK and Europe.
Why It's Important?
The strategic hires by Newmark underscore the firm's commitment to expanding its influence in the hotel sector, particularly in valuation and advisory services. This move is significant as it enhances Newmark's ability to handle complex hotel projects, which is crucial in a competitive market. The expertise brought by Elliott, Janda, and Smith is expected to strengthen Newmark's position in the UK and European markets, providing clients with deeper insights and more comprehensive advisory services. This expansion could lead to increased business opportunities and a stronger market presence for Newmark, benefiting stakeholders involved in hotel development and investment.
