What's Happening?
The Riverfront Arts Center in Stevens Point is calling for artists to submit their works for an upcoming exhibit titled 'Fantastical.' This exhibit will explore themes of imagination, dreams, folklore, magic, and the surreal. Artists are invited to submit their pieces
on April 30 and May 1, either in person at the center or by appointment. The exhibit will feature all submitted artworks and will be open to the public from May 7 through June 14. The Riverfront Arts Center, located at 1200 Crosby Ave., offers free admission and is open Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why It's Important?
This exhibit provides a platform for artists to showcase their creativity and engage with the community through art that challenges the boundaries of reality. By focusing on themes of fantasy and the surreal, the exhibit encourages both artists and viewers to explore new perspectives and ideas. It also supports local artists by giving them an opportunity to display their work in a public setting, potentially increasing their visibility and fostering a greater appreciation for the arts within the community.
