Kefi Gold and Copper has initiated construction at the Tulu Kapi gold project in Ethiopia, marking a significant milestone after over a decade of development and preparation. The project, which aims to produce approximately 140,000 ounces of gold annually starting in 2027, was officially launched with a ceremony attended by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and other dignitaries. The project includes a comprehensive livelihood restoration and development program for local communities, involving financial compensation, new farmlands, and educational and health facilities. Kefi's founder, Harry Anagnostaras-Adams, emphasized the project's adherence to high environmental, social, and technical standards.
