What's Happening?
The Newport Beach Central Library is hosting the 2025 Student Art Exhibition, featuring works from local students in pre-K through 12th grade. The exhibition, organized by the city's Cultural Arts Commission, received 103 entries, including paintings, drawings, and collages. Awards were given to standout pieces, such as Ava Rubiano's 'Hummingbird Kiss,' which won the Courage of Creativity award. The exhibition highlights the creativity and talent of young artists, with works on display until February 23.
Why It's Important?
The exhibition provides a platform for young artists to showcase their work, fostering creativity and artistic expression in the community. It encourages students to engage with the arts, which can enhance their educational experience and personal
development. For the community, the exhibition offers an opportunity to appreciate and support local talent. Events like these also highlight the role of cultural institutions in promoting the arts and enriching community life.
