Telekom Slovenije has launched Slovenia's first 5G Standalone (5G SA) mobile service, utilizing Ericsson's 5G RAN and full-stack core network. The deployment includes Ericsson's dual-mode 5G core solution and cloud native infrastructure, along with a Cloud
Core Exposure Server to expose network APIs to enterprise customers. The upgraded network supports next-generation fixed wireless access, Voice over New Radio, and network slicing. This development aims to enhance innovation across sectors such as transport, logistics, media, and public safety, with a goal of achieving 99% population coverage.
