What's Happening?
Corinthia Hotels is set to expand its Italian portfolio with the development of a new luxury resort, Borgo di Perolla, in Tuscany. Scheduled to open in 2030, the resort will transform historic buildings into a village-style retreat, offering 80 keys,
including suites and private villas. The project, in partnership with entrepreneur Gaetano Buglisi and BGenera Group, aims to blend historic character with modern luxury, featuring farm-to-table dining and wellness facilities. This development marks Corinthia's third hotel in Italy, following the openings in Rome and Lake Como, and underscores the brand's strategy to grow its presence in key markets.
Why It's Important?
The expansion into Tuscany represents a strategic move for Corinthia Hotels to strengthen its presence in the luxury hospitality market. By focusing on experience-led properties, the brand aims to attract high-end travelers seeking unique and authentic experiences. The integration of local culture and sustainable practices in the resort's design and operations aligns with current trends in luxury travel, where consumers increasingly value sustainability and cultural immersion. This development not only enhances Corinthia's brand visibility in Italy but also contributes to the region's tourism economy by attracting international visitors.
