Hyundai has announced its role as the Official Robotics Partner for the FIFA World Cup 2026, marking a significant step in its robotics strategy. The company will deploy four Boston Dynamics Spot robots at key tournament venues, including the International
Broadcast Center in Dallas and the New York–New Jersey Stadium. These robots will perform autonomous patrol operations and real-time site monitoring, showcasing Hyundai's commitment to smart mobility and robotics. However, despite being a key partner in supplying vehicles for the tournament, Hyundai will not be deploying any of its electric vehicles. Instead, the fleet will consist of 994 passenger vehicles and 506 buses, primarily featuring hybrid electric vehicle variants of models like the PALISADE, SANTA FE, and TUCSON, but excluding its popular electric models such as the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6.
