What's Happening?
Novada Cement, a subsidiary of the Medcem Cement Group, has selected ABB to provide comprehensive electrification, automation, and drive solutions for its new plant in Tampa Bay, Florida. ABB will design,
supply, and commission these solutions, integrating them with the ABB Ability System 800xA distributed control system. This partnership aims to enhance plant efficiency and sustainability, aligning with Medcem Group's strategy of digitalization and international expansion. The plant is projected to produce over 600,000 tons of cement annually, serving the regional construction industry. This marks Novada's first investment in the U.S., expanding its global footprint.
