Fountain Valley High School demonstrated a strong performance at the Orange County track and field championships held at Mission Viejo High. The team secured sixth place in the boys' competition, with junior Badr 'Bud' Farag contributing significantly
by winning the 200 meters with a time of 21.72 seconds and placing third in the 100 meters. Senior pole vaulter Viet Le also excelled, achieving a height of 15 feet, 6 inches to win the county title. The event highlighted the efforts of various athletes, including Roger Wang, who placed third in the long jump, and a team that set a meet record in the 3,200 relay. The championships saw participation from multiple schools, with Los Alamitos and Orange Lutheran sharing the boys' team title, while Orange Lutheran claimed the girls' team title.
