Matt and Ross Duffer, creators of the globally successful Netflix series 'Stranger Things', are set to deliver the commencement address at Chapman University, their alma mater. The ceremony will take place
on May 22 at Wilson Field, celebrating the class of 2026, which includes over 3,000 graduates. In recognition of their achievements in the entertainment industry, the Duffer Brothers will also receive honorary doctorates from the university. Since graduating from Chapman’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in 2007, the Duffer Brothers have made significant contributions to film and television, including launching their production company, Upside Down Pictures, in 2022. Their work includes producing the Tony Award-winning productions of 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' and developing new projects such as a live-action spin-off and an animated series.
